anyway: poor, as with my mother. We don't talk often.
It takes a lot of energy for me to talk to them like a normal human. Dad ends up ranting about tinfoil (genuine bonkers bullshit, not just edgy politics) and then thanks me for letting him blow off some steam. Mom is generally happy and appreciative but can childishly, ineffectually try to manipulate at times.
